Meet the founder| Barbara Afogho, PMHNP-BC
Imperfectly Perfect Minds PLLC was founded by Barbara Afogho, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who is passionate about helping individuals find balance, healing, and confidence in their mental health journey.
With a strong clinical background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric concerns. Her approach combines medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic techniques to create personalized treatment plans that meet each client’s unique needs.
As the founder of Imperfectly Perfect Minds PLLC, she created a practice grounded in the belief that healing does not require perfection. Life’s challenges, setbacks, and imperfections are part of being human. The goal of the practice is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.
Our Approach
At Imperfectly Perfect Minds PLLC, we believe that mental wellness is not about perfection, it is about progress, balance, and self-compassion. Our approach is centered on providing individualized, patient-focused care in a supportive and judgment-free environment.
We take the time to understand your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. Treatment plans are thoughtfully developed using evidence-based practices and may include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic guidance.
Collaboration is at the heart of our care. We work together to help you better understand your mental health, build coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and regain confidence in your daily life.
Our goal is simple: to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move toward healing and lasting wellness, embracing the idea that you are perfectly human, even in your imperfections.
